SO we are praying non-stop this week, and joining with us are members of the Jacob's Well, St. Chiara, and Servants communities. We pray here this week, then on to pray with the Servants in their location, then Jacob's Well the following week, and finally St. Chiara's the last week. This is a great chance for us to unite in prayer and intercession for our neighbourhood and our world.

I had a dream the other night.

In it I held an envelope. I don't know what was in the envelope, but it was full. On the outside, I wrote the words: "It is time for us to start praying for real again."

Once I had written that, I felt in my dream such a sense of relief, safety, and direction.

I am open to interpretations, but my initial feeling is an excitement over renewing an emphasis on intentional, communal prayer that is our hub, the place out of which direction and comfort and strength comes for us.

But what else am I hearing.
Oh Goodness, lots.
I think my problem is I hear well and often - but I share it seldom. More out of fear then paitence.

LOVE. We need to love. We need to love God and all he requires. We need to love eachother - oh how we need to love eachother. We need to love the lost. LOVE.

1 Kings and some Revelation 2 and 3 have been in my prayers for the past few months.

One of our War College students lost a parent this week. Please pray along with us for comfort for the family, the ability to say goodbyes well, and the security of eternal life.

For Kids Cell last week we made crosses out of sticks on the ground, and then went and visited 301 East Hastings, the ancient home of a Salvation Army Corps. The Corps moved out many years ago, and it has since been owned by a Buddhist Monastery and the Ministry of Health. We are praying about possibly getting it back.

So we went and prayed, and laid our crosses down at the corner of the building. A man came walking (stumbling, really) along, and muttered "The Salvation Army ain't here anymore!" I said actually yes, we were, we were standing right there.

He them told me about how he used to play in the band in that building many yeas ago. He was far from band-shape on this day, but he remembered his time ministering to the LORD with music. In another strange twist, he also turned out to be the estranged father of one of the teens I work with. (I know, it sounds like a soap opera plot, but it did happen.)

Pray that we would have wisdom in looking at this old building as a possible place to live and do community out of, that we would be given favour in the area of finances, and that old relationships and covenants would be restored by the LORD.

"You are hearing in part"

I have been hearing the Lord a lot lately - through dreams, and tongues, and interpretations, and visions, and his word. And I have been frustrated at the lack of clarity of it all. Frustrated because I don't understand it, and I don't know who to deliver it too and I don't know what some of it means. Then I heard the voice of the Lord speak

"You are hearing in part"

What are you hearing?
The body hears in part, the fullness of prophecy or encouragement or a warning or a word is done through the fullness of the body. I need everyone else to understand what the spirit is saying. Let he who has an ear hear what the spirit is saying to the Church. Right now it's like an unfinished puzzle - I don't know the end result but I am hopeful for the completion of it.
